Moth-Eye Museum Acrylic features an impressive light transmission rating of 98.6%, making it non-reflective and virtually invisible, to present artwork with exceptional clarity, without the distractions caused by unwanted glare or reflections.

Certified by SGS, a world leading testing company, to give 99.8% UV protection, Moth-Eye Museum Acrylic shields valuable artwork from harmful ultraviolet rays, effectively preserving the colour and detail of the piece. Ensuring artwork remains in the condition it was framed in, safeguarded from fading and deterioration.

Moth-Eye Museum keeps artwork safe, unlike specialist glass, acrylic is shatter and impact resistant. When specialist glass is used in high value framing, it is the most easily damaged part of the frame and sits directly against the face of the artwork.

To score by hand we recommend using the Fletcher Heavy Duty Scoring Tool with the Fletcher Nipping Pliers, using the acrylic jaw head to cleanly snap. Alternatively, score heavily using a knife, scoring tool, or wall cutter then place the scored sheet over the edge of the workbench and apply pressure to cleanly snap.

Important: If scoring by hand it is essential that both sides are scored before snapping. This is because the acrylic is laminated on both sides.
