Sometimes this stout nail is a good option for hanging a picture on a wall

The nail is special as it is thicker than most and has a steel washer threaded on. As it is hammered in, the washer slides up to rest against the surface of the wall. This helps to prevent the nail head sagging down under load. 

Hardened steel, brass plated. 26mm long, 2.4mm dia. Made in Italy
