The links are pressed brass, folded each one into the next. This means that they cannot peel or break open in normal use.

A weakness of oval brass picture hanging chain is that each link is shaped into the next and then individually welded. Under stress the weld can very occasionally break, causing the link to fail. Hence the popular phrase ‘weakest link’.

Chandelier chain is ideal for traditional style hanging of framed picture, mirrors, and light fittings. Safe working loads, SWL, are as indicated.

Chandelier brass chain is made in UK from solid brass, 0.48mm thick, which will acquire a natural patina over time. Packed in 10m length. Cut with wire cutters or a fine hacksaw.
